After 14 minutes, Tobias Hegg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Mance and the Gefle Sweethearts players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tobias Hegg kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Åke Brodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Palm having to interfere. With a little luck, Gefle Sweethearts's Sven-Åke Palm got control of the ball when Åke Brodin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rune Bergqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yngve Lundström having to make a save. When David Emander came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Gefle Sweethearts fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Emander couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, FC Mance's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Askberg came free, but Yngve Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Bergqvist in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yngve Lundström saved FC Mance from getting behind. Gefle Sweethearts's Sven-Åke Palm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gefle Sweethearts from getting a goal against them. Staffan Lindqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mance's zone, Kasper Askberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yngve Lundström came out of the goal and Kasper Askberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasper Askberg was the one to do the kick off. Vilgot Söderkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Palm having to interfere. Åke Brodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Palm having to interfere. Rune Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Lundström having to interfere. Rune Bergqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Lundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Åke Brodin might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Åke Palm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Åke Brodin ran back to his position shaking his head. Kjell Thedin charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Thedin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Mance's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl Lundgren in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Gefle Sweethearts getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bertil Malmström hit a great ball. The supporters of Gefle Sweethearts booed when FC Mance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Söderkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yngve Lundström made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Rune Bergqvist sent off a good shot on target. Sven-Åke Palm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Kasper Askberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Yngve Lundström made a huge save.
