Edward Fredriksson came out and tried to block the shot, but Magne Aronsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Sebastian Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Njurenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Anton Engström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edward Fredriksson was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Magne Aronsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Njjuupparnas IK's Edward Fredriksson threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anton Engström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 15 minutes into the game, Petter Vedholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sebastian Norström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastian Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Sundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Örjan Njurenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syrianska FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Örjan Njurenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Norström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Örjan Njurenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Tham during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ingvar Tham hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jon Sundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sebastian Norström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Magne Aronsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Engström was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Njjuupparnas IK's Ola Gabrielsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Fredriksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Engström in the 65th minute of play. Sebastian Norström was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Örjan Njurenius capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Örjan Njurenius really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Magne Aronsson took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edward Fredriksson. Edward Fredriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After 81 played minutes, Njjuupparnas IK's Vilhelm Högberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edward Fredriksson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Njjuupparnas IK reached it. In the 82nd minute Karl-Åke Örn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Njjuupparnas IK's Magne Aronsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Jon Sundin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Syrianska FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 90 minutes into the match, Jon Sundin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Norström. Njjuupparnas IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jon Sundin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Syrianska FC played a much better game than Njjuupparnas IK and deserved their victory. The Njjuupparnas IK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
