The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Stephansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th match minute, Vänersborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Wallander to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Christopher Deckbergh sped through Stenhamra FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gunnar Askstedt. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Christopher Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Deckbergh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Askstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 19 minutes, Herbert Ahlquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vänersborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Ahlquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Christopher Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunnar Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Alén, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Lucas Fågel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Almkvist went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 27thth minute of the game Simon Fredriksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vänersborg's Lucas Fågel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Stenhamra FF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Peter Almkvist hit a great ball. Lucas Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Dahlman in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Herbert Ahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute of the match Vänersborg got a corner. Stenhamra FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lennart Vestberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. 40 minutes into the match, Stenhamra FF's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Ahlquist came free, but Gunnar Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Deckbergh's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gunnar Askstedt firmly grabbed it by the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute, Agne Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Stenhamra FF's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Ahlquist came free, but Gunnar Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Stenhamra FF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kent Eliasson hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Lennart Vestberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunnar Askstedt skillfully saved the ball. Agne Öberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Lucas Fågel made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Vänersborg's goalkeeper Lucas Fågel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Fredriksson. Christopher Deckbergh succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Vänersborg's Lucas Fågel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Vänersborg from getting a goal against them. Gunnar Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Deckbergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Stenhamra FF's Gunnar Askstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Vestberg in the 67th minute of play. Vänersborg's Lucas Fågel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Vänersborg from getting a goal against them. Herbert Ahlquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunnar Askstedt having to make a save. In the 74th minute, Herbert Ahlquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Askstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Stenhamra FF's Agne Öberg got a free kick in the 76th minute. Christopher Deckbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christopher Deckbergh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliot Dahlman in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Stenhamra FF got a freekick which was hit by Peter Almkvist. Herbert Ahlquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunnar Askstedt came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Vänersborg's Alexander Alén. But to his dismay, Alexander Alén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Christopher Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gunnar Askstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Vestberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christopher Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gunnar Askstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vänersborg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
