Markus Rosén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Lövskog having to interfere. Einar Lövskog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Lundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Smögen's zone, Gustaf Berggren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Ek came out of the goal and Gustaf Berggren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Vincent Askberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smögen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Mejtiken the free kick. Wilhelm Jelm shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 24th minute Algot Termander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Lövskog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Snäll, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Mejtiken's Pär Danielsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. The attack was good, but when Algot Termander in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Snäll was the one to do the kick off. Hjalmar Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Smögen's goalkeeper Hugo Ek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Smögen getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jan Lundberg hit a great ball. Smögen's Hugo Ek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Smögen from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Simon Andersson clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calin Lamru in the 76th minute of play forced Smögen's goalkeeper Hugo Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Mejtiken supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Mejtiken would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
