Spectators: 4802 (Terracing: 3300, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stig Tholsson started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Knutby BF got a freekick which was hit by Stig Tholsson. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Göran Ekberg put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sven Vennersten. Nils Vennerkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Apelkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Göteborgs IF defense, Herman Kilberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Vennerkvist. The Göteborgs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Vennerkvist should have stopped the shot. Göteborgs IF's Nils Vennerkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Tholsson in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Stig Tholsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Vennerkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Göteborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Isak Berglund came free, but Nils Vennerkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Edvin Njurenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven Vennersten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Nils Vennerkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Tholsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Edvin Njurenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Tholsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils Vennerkvist came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Knutby BF's Herman Kilberg. But to his dismay, Herman Kilberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Nils Vennerkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Göteborgs IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Knutby BF were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Ekberg to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Stig Tholsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils Vennerkvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Göteborgs IF's Nils Vennerkvist got control of the ball when Herman Kilberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Göteborgs IF's Göran Ekberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven Vennersten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Karl-Axel Apelkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nils Vennerkvist made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Ekberg in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Vennersten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Ove Pettersson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils Vennerkvist. The goal made the score 2-4. Göran Ekberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Vennersten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göran Ekberg ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Kilberg during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Knutby BF's Herman Kilberg got a free kick in the 85th minute. Stig Tholsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 93 minutes into the match, Göteborgs IF's Sven-Edvin Njurenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Vennersten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Göteborgs IF's Filip Lindqvist got a free kick in the 95th minute. Knutby BF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
