The referee gave Trånkan Roughnecks a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lars Gulliksson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of IFK Vaxholm's Tom Drake. 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Lang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trånkan Roughnecks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Vaxholm the free kick. A collision led to Trånkan Roughnecks getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sven-Edvin Lang hit a great ball. Anderson Blue hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Romeo Busuioceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Vaxholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Busuioceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Trånkan Roughnecks's Ulrik Carlsson in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Trånkan Roughnecks's Mark Valström got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 43 in the game by Lars Gulliksson from a close distance when the talented Tom Drake managed to make a qualified save. IFK Vaxholm's players were relieved. Tom Drake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Carlsson in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lars Gulliksson was the one to do the kick off. Lars Gulliksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Drake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Lars Gulliksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tom Drake. IFK Vaxholm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Gulliksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trånkan Roughnecks had played much better football throughout.
