Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Nils Deckberg made the kick off and thus started the match. Peter Berg struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Christoffer Bjurström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Halmstad bk. 8 minutes into the game, The Legion of Doom's Kurt Ahlroth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakarias Malmberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 18th minute, Tommy Olofsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 played minutes The Legion of Doom got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Rosén. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Legion of Doom's goalkeeper Christoffer Bjurström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute Nils Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sakarias Malmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Deckberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jens Ferm shot from long distance in the 32nd minute, but Sakarias Malmberg was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Kurt Ahlroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sakarias Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Sakarias Malmberg was a little too slow when Nils Deckberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Edwin Holmstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Sakarias Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ahlroth in the 52nd minute of play. Halmstad bk's Sakarias Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Ahlroth in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Nils Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils Deckberg in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sakarias Malmberg saved Halmstad bk from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Kurt Ahlroth managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Legion of Doom's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Ahlroth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sakarias Malmberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 minutes of play, The Legion of Doom's Börje Lekberg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sakarias Malmberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute of the match Jens Ferm shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sakarias Malmberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Tommy Olofsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christoffer Bjurström, 4-1. In the 80th minute, Nils Deckberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Deckberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Halmstad bk's Sakarias Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Deckberg in the 91st minute of play. Peter Berg hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee gave The Legion of Doom a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Egon Kleen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Halmstad bk's Sakarias Malmberg. 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Legion of Doom fully deserved thier win.
