Robinho Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herbert Pååk kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Karl Björck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Robinho Branco sped through Årjäng's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl Björck. After the first half Meppes IF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robinho Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Årjäng's zone, Robinho Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Björck came out of the goal and Robinho Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mårten Fågel came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Meppes IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mårten Fågel couldn't finish the play. When Meppes IF's Robinho Branco in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Årjäng's goalie prevented a goal. The Årjäng fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Karl Björck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Fågel in the 89th minute of the match. Stig Sundén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Dahlgren in the 91st minute of play. Karl Björck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Branco in the 95th minute of play. Meppes IF played a much better game than Årjäng and deserved their victory. The Årjäng players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
