In the 4th minute of the match Billesholm IFK got a corner. Smålandsstenar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yuri Arce ran over to the corner to take the kick. Yuri Arce made a great header on Billesholm IFK's corner, it was just that Smålandsstenar's Rudolf Holm managed to reach the ball for a save. When Thomas Broman came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Smålandsstenar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Broman couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Billesholm IFK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joacim Bergman struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rudolf Holm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Billesholm IFK. If Egor Merkushev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billesholm IFK's Egor Merkushev got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31stth minute of the game Viggo Håkansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smålandsstenar's Rudolf Holm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils-Åke Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Broman in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Joacim Bergman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Billesholm IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Joacim Bergman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Billesholm IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joacim Bergman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Holm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Smålandsstenar defense, Egor Merkushev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudolf Holm. The Smålandsstenar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudolf Holm should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Smålandsstenar's Evert Bergsten got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joacim Bergman was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Rudolf Holm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rudolf Holm made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Egor Merkushev sent off a good shot on target. Joacim Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rudolf Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
