After having played for 8 minutes, Tomas Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 minutes, Uno Gulliksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ajax and the Stoby BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sonny Kollberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Johannes Östensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Bogren in the 33rd minute of play. Stoby BK's Sonny Kollberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Stoby BK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Söderqwist in the 37th minute of play forced Stoby BK's goalkeeper Sonny Kollberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, one of Stoby BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for ajax. Kent Hägert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sonny Kollberg. 1-0. Johannes Östensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Cwynar in the 44th minute of play. Roch Cwynar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Johannes Östensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Holger Allbom made the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Rune Siöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Östensson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Bock during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Edvard Bogren fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Johannes Östensson, passed just outside the right post. Stoby BK's Roch Cwynar got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stoby BK's Sonny Kollberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Bock in the 66th minute of play. Johannes Östensson came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Stoby BK's Bengt-Rune Siöberg. But to his dismay, Bengt-Rune Siöberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 73rd minute, Bengt-Rune Siöberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 played minutes ajax got a freekick which was hit by Kent Söderqwist. Sonny Kollberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Bock in the 77th minute of the match. ajax's Johannes Östensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Cwynar in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, ajax's Sten Bock made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sonny Kollberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stoby BK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
