The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Larsfält got free with Stig Eckegren in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Upphärad BK's goalkeeper Stig Eckegren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stellan Tunander. Alexander Larsfält could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Stig Eckegren made a huge save. Tord Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Tidéksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 46 played minutes Kumla RK got a freekick which was hit by Stellan Tunander. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stellan Tunander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 62 played minutes Kumla RK got a freekick which was hit by Anders Jonasson. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Nordstedt during the 73rd minute.
