The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Fc Grotesque's Wictor Joensson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Pontus Norström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sillhuvet's supporters rose to their feet, but Pontus Norström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Vennerkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tor Josefsson made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sillhuvet's Harry Månsson. The supporters of Sillhuvet booed when Fc Grotesque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Högberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Fc Grotesque getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tor Josefsson hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Sillhuvet got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Bjurström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urban Åhman in the 19th minute of play forced Fc Grotesque's goalkeeper Michael Vennerkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sillhuvet booed when Fc Grotesque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Lundhberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Grelsson's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Michael Vennerkvist - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 22nd minute. Fc Grotesque's Michael Vennerkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Åhman in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Pontus Norström managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 31 minutes Fc Grotesque's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mats Grelsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sillhuvet's Urban Åhman to fire away a dangerous shot which Michael Vennerkvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Fc Grotesque's goal looked a bit too open when Urban Åhman came free, but Michael Vennerkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the game Wictor Joensson made a throw-in which Leo Högberg played forward. 44 minutes into the match, Fc Grotesque's goalkeeper Michael Vennerkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pontus Norström. Urban Åhman scored 2-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Vennerkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pontus Norström to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rolf Lindholm fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Grotesque's protests and gave Rolf Lindholm a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sillhuvet booed when Fc Grotesque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Lindholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sillhuvet's Boguslaw Waselewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melker Norberg in the 53rd minute of play. Bo Arvidsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Urban Åhman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Vennerkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sillhuvet booed when Fc Grotesque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wictor Joensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Spets was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Grotesque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sillhuvet the free kick. After some careless play in the Fc Grotesque defense, Pontus Norström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Vennerkvist. The Fc Grotesque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Vennerkvist should have stopped the shot. Bernt Bjurström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tor Josefsson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Sillhuvet's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Arvidsson came free, but Boguslaw Waselewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Vennerkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Åhman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 95 played minutes Fc Grotesque got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Lindholm. Filip Forss's late challenge caught a Sillhuvet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Forss helped the player get up and apologised. Filip Forss kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Sillhuvet players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
