Spectators: 5662 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 5) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hubert Arhenius kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Hubert Arhenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Hubert Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Djurgården 1891's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Arhenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Bergdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Djurgården 1891's Hubert Arhenius slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bengt Bergdal. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. 19 minutes into the match, Djurgården 1891's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Hamberg came free, but Örjan Qvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Åby FF's Bengt Bergdal got control of the ball when Jens-Ola Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Magnus Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Hubert Arhenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Bergdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Myr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johannes Myr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Qvarnström having to interfere. If Harald Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the match, Djurgården 1891's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Strömberg came free, but Örjan Qvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt Bergdal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hubert Arhenius's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Strömberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Åby FF got a freekick which was hit by Dick Kvarnström. Bengt Bergdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Carlsson in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Djurgården 1891's Aaron Hermansson got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Hubert Ekman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timmy Holm hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Åby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Arhenius came free, but Bengt Bergdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Tobias Strömberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Örjan Qvarnström. Djurgården 1891's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobias Strömberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
