The supporters of Ac Milan booed when Ånge IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Hjelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ånge IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ac Milan the free kick. After 10 played minutes Ånge IK got a freekick which was hit by Pär Eliasson. Östen Falkrans was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, one of Ånge IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ånge IK. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Ac Milan's Edwin Dahlgren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bengt Wennerström. If Pär Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Ac Milan's Sten Blomberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt Wennerström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ånge IK's goalkeeper Bengt Wennerström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bengt Wennerström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvar Nordström's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Dag Lindblom charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dag Lindblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ånge IK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dag Lindblom hit a great ball. Sten Blomberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvar Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvar Nordström in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt Wennerström saved Ånge IK from getting behind. Alvar Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Wennerström having to interfere. With a little luck, Ånge IK's Bengt Wennerström got control of the ball when Sten Blomberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Lundgren made a kick off. Sten Blomberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Wennerström having to interfere. Edwin Dahlgren was slow to take the kick. During this time Ac Milan's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Sten Blomberg to score against Bengt Wennerström in Ånge IK's goal. 4-1 after 65 minutes. A collision led to Ånge IK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dag Lindblom hit a great ball. Bengt Wennerström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The Ac Milan fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Ac Milan's Sten Blomberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 80 minutes into the match, Alvar Nordström notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Ånge IK's Bengt Wennerström. Bengt Wennerström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Ånge IK's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Nordström came free, but Bengt Wennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sten Blomberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ac Milan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
