The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Värmlands Nysäter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Utfal to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Edmund Alebeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustav Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Linqvist in the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Gunnarskog's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Sjöberg came free, but Hans Lundberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Lindberg charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Värmlands Nysäter's Hubert Lindberg got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Hubert Lindberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Hans Lundberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 35th minute, Knut Utfal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Knut Utfal came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Värmlands Nysäter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knut Utfal couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Per-Erik Linqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Värmlands Nysäter were awarded a corner. Hubert Lindberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Värmlands Nysäter's Hubert Lindberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Hans Lundberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gustav Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Lind in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, one of Värmlands Nysäter:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Värmlands Nysäter. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Erik Linqvist was the one to do the kick off. Gustav Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Erik Linqvist in the 57th minute of play. Gustav Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Linqvist in the 59th minute of the match. Michel Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Värmlands Nysäter fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Värmlands Nysäter's Michel Sjöberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Erik Linqvist in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustav Göransson saved Värmlands Nysäter from getting behind. A collision led to Värmlands Nysäter getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Edmund Alebeck hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
