Simon Andreasson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Ian Axelsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match Bernt Skålberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Lindblom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ian Axelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Andreasson in the 19th minute. Simon Andreasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ian Axelsson made a huge save. If Simon Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Holger Vallman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Axelsson having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Ingemar Billström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Lindblom was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nicklas Kinnman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Stockholm Södra FC's goalkeeper Ian Axelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Andreasson. A hard shot 46 in the game by Simon Andreasson from a close distance when the talented Ian Axelsson managed to make a qualified save. Stockholm Södra FC's players were relieved. After the first half Stockholm Södra FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingemar Billström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Vallman in the 51st minute of play forced Stockholm Södra FC's goalkeeper Ian Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nicklas Kinnman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Stockholm Södra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Axelsson should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingemar Billström in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell-Arne Lindblom saved Laxå from getting behind. Ian Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Andreasson in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Stockholm Södra FC defense, Simon Andreasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ian Axelsson. The Stockholm Södra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Axelsson should have stopped the shot. Ian Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holger Vallman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ian Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Andreasson in the 81st minute of play forced Stockholm Södra FC's goalkeeper Ian Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell-Arne Lindblom didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Stockholm Södra FC's Ingemar Billström shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Stockholm Södra FC booed when Laxå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
