Borlänge IK's Måns Häger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Widberg in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oskar Kollberg got free with Måns Häger in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Billy Widberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Måns Häger having to make a save. Gunnar Sandström hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sebastian Kihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Hägg in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Kollberg in the 38th minute of play forced Borlänge IK's goalkeeper Måns Häger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Gunnar Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Tim Ambjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Kihlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Billy Widberg to make the kick off. Olof Alefors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sebastian Kihlberg made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pelle Hägg got free with Sebastian Kihlberg in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AIK Solna's Billy Widberg got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Karl Törnkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borlänge IK and the AIK Solna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Karl Törnkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to AIK Solna getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. When Hugo Gustavsson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the AIK Solna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Gustavsson couldn't finish the play. The shot was a little too simple and Sebastian Kihlberg could save by the left post. Borlänge IK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing AIK Solna to leave the ground with a draw.
