Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) When Kent Fanström fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borlänge IK's protests and gave Kent Fanström a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Vad IF's Erling Giöck tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Olof Alefors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Ek having to interfere. Olof Ek came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Borlänge IK's Folke Björkdal. But to his dismay, Folke Björkdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vad IF's Olof Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Björkdal in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Borlänge IK booed when Vad IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Wallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olof Alefors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Borlänge IK's Folke Björkdal got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Nykvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Måns Häger having to interfere. Borlänge IK's Måns Häger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Borlänge IK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Vad IF booed when Borlänge IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Fanström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Borlänge IK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olof Alefors was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Olof Alefors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olof Alefors got free with Olof Ek in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Jan-Ove Zachrisson made a precise shot to the right of Måns Häger. Borlänge IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Elias Nykvist struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Måns Häger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vad IF. Elias Nykvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Måns Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
