The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frans Martinsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilbert Söderqvist during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Stig-Ove Ekerot came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grundsund BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Ove Ekerot couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Åsunden FF's zone, Stig-Ove Ekerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Ståhlberg came out of the goal and Stig-Ove Ekerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ola Alin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Martinsson in the 91st minute of the match. Grundsund BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
