Ambjörby IF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when William Bollström 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Urban Jakobsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilbert Morat's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Sven-Oskar Qvalfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Bernt Lundkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambjörby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Lundkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urban Jakobsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Wasyl Dziurowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tage Smedfeldt was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Bernt Lundkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urban Jakobsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The wind increased when Emil Åman made the kick off in the second half. Stig-Åke Kleen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Jakobsson having to interfere. The supporters of Karu FC booed when Ambjörby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Vennerström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Lundkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Urban Jakobsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
