An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Axelsson in the 19th minute of play forced Tifozat Kuq e Zi's goalkeeper Nikos Sarkanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jan-Erik Skålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASTONVILLA FC67's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Skålberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikos Sarkanis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hubert Fors might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikos Sarkanis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Axelsson was the one to do the kick off. Robin Sikström's late challenge caught a ASTONVILLA FC67's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded ASTONVILLA FC67 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tifozat Kuq e Zi.
