If Edward Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 41 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Snäll. Edward Bållström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Ambjörnsson's late challenge caught a AC Milan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Ambjörnsson in the 84th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Gert Arenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Edward Bållström managed to get in a good position for a shot. asec abidjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Bållström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert Arenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, asec abidjan's Jerry Häger got a free kick in the 87th minute. Gert Arenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Ambjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded asec abidjan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC Milan.
