Spectators: 7107 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rudolf Larsson kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Åkersberga IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eskil Kjellman to maneuver through the defense. Åkersberga IF's Jan-Erik Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Larsson in the 5th minute of play. Urban Granström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Urban Granström struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Stig-Arne Byström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åkersberga IF. After having played for 12 minutes, Stefan Christoffersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åkersberga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Christoffersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Eskil Kjellman put in a rough tackle. In the 16th match minute, Åkersberga IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eskil Kjellman to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Åkersberga IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Botvidsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Brummer. 20 minutes into the match, Åkersberga IF's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Larsson came free, but Jan-Erik Botvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Christoffersson took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stig-Arne Byström. Stig-Arne Byström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Jonas Carlsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Erik Botvidsson. Åkersberga IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Carlsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Åkersberga IF's Jan-Erik Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Larsson in the 28th minute of play. Åkersberga IF's attentive Urban Granström managed to snatch the ball when Jonathan Ekström made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. A collision led to Åkersberga IF getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Pearse Deery hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Christoffersson to make the kick off. Jonas Carlsson took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Botvidsson. Jan-Erik Botvidsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 57th minute, Karl-Johan Näfver left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ludvika FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Kevin Andersson's late challenge caught a Åkersberga IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Andersson helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Ludvika FK got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Andersson. Pearse Deery was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Åkersberga IF defense, Jens-Åke Bållström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Erik Botvidsson. The Åkersberga IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Erik Botvidsson should have stopped the shot. If Tim Siöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Johan Näfver in the 80th minute of play forced Åkersberga IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Christoffersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Arne Byström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Christoffersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Elias Åström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan-Erik Botvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Johan Näfver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jens-Åke Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Erik Botvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Johan Näfver, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ludvika FK had played much better football throughout.
