The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gösta Kilman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Esbjörn Bagge made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, Lödöse Nygård IK's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Ahlqvist came free, but Erling Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Ahlbom struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Erling Nyberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fabregas FC. Lödöse Nygård IK's Erling Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Asklöv in the 15th minute of play. Esbjörn Bagge made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Gösta Kilman sent off a good shot on target. Robert Ahlbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Leif Engman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Esbjörn Bagge to make any attempt to save it. Esbjörn Bagge was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delmar Gasteiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Gösta Kilman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Esbjörn Bagge when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Delmar Gasteiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gösta Kilman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Fabregas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Gasteiz came free, but Esbjörn Bagge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ragnar Bergman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erling Nyberg. Lödöse Nygård IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 48th minute, Gösta Kilman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmar Gasteiz to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Delmar Gasteiz made a precise shot to the right of Esbjörn Bagge. Fabregas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Gösta Kilman took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Bagge. Esbjörn Bagge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Esbjörn Bagge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Gasteiz's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Leif Engman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esbjörn Bagge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Gasteiz in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Ramiro Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esbjörn Bagge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Kilman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esbjörn Bagge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Gasteiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Robert Ahlbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabregas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Ahlbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erling Nyberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lödöse Nygård IK's Erling Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Åke Böcklund in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lödöse Nygård IK's Emil Bergfelt got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Delmar Gasteiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lödöse Nygård IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 84 played minutes Fabregas FC got a freekick which was hit by Roger Ahlqvist. Esbjörn Bagge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Kilman's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Delmar Gasteiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Esbjörn Bagge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
