Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jörgen Eriksson kicked off to start the match. Patrik Morat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Oskar Lindsten walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 19 minutes into the match, Dag Henriksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börje Beneth. Pilgrimstad FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dag Henriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Jörgen Eriksson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pilgrimstad FF's Börje Beneth. Börje Beneth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Börje Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Eriksson in the 27th minute of play. Rune Kling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskil Zachrisson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eskil Zachrisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, Sjuntorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sjuntorp's zone, Elliott Hermansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Kling came out of the goal and Elliott Hermansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Patrik Morat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, one of Sjuntorp:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sjuntorp. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Pilgrimstad FF. Per-Oskar Lindsten stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rune Kling. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 61 minutes, Stefan Lekberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilgrimstad FF and the Sjuntorp players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Stefan Lekberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrik Morat might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Kling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Börje Beneth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Dag Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Börje Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Zachrisson in the 78th minute of play forced Sjuntorp's goalkeeper Rune Kling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Kling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Zachrisson in the 80th minute of play. Elliott Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Kling having to interfere. After 83 minutes of play, Pilgrimstad FF's Patrik Morat made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Kling was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Elliott Hermansson fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilgrimstad FF's protests and gave Elliott Hermansson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pilgrimstad FF getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Elliott Hermansson hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, Sjuntorp's Edward Björk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Börje Beneth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sjuntorp reached it. Dag Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Börje Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
