Asarum's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kalmar FF's Rune Drewitz got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inácio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Vik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dirk Oss took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inácio Amaral. Inácio Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Wilhelm Öfverman charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilhelm Öfverman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the match, Egil Göransson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tião Zilles. Asarum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egil Göransson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Vik made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Vik in the 54th minute of play forced Kalmar FF's goalkeeper Inácio Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dag Lundin hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A hard shot 59 in the game by Egil Göransson from a close distance when the talented Tião Zilles managed to make a qualified save. Asarum's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Faria during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Inácio Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Oss, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Egil Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalmar FF's Charles Lund got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egil Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tião Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Asarum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Bergqvist to maneuver through the defense. Asarum were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kalmar FF for a fine match.
