The audience was convinced that Edmund Vennerlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Burman was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Nils-Emil Lindqvist's late challenge caught a FC Marabou's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Emil Lindqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes SPORTING got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Lindqvist. 5 minutes into the match, SPORTING's goal looked a bit too open when Edmund Vennerlund came free, but Charles Burman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, 傅辉鹰 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Linus Fors was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SPORTING booed when FC Marabou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Nilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Edmund Vennerlund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Charles Burman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edmund Vennerlund struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Charles Burman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Marabou. 23 minutes into the game, Alvar Eklund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Linus Fors was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 傅辉鹰's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Linus Fors read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Birger Hellbom kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Marabou's Per-Arne Julin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Burman. That made the score 1-2 after 36 minutes of play. In the 39th minute Jan-Ove Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Fors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half SPORTING were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Ove Hellström to strike the kick off in the second half. Linus Fors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvar Eklund in the 55th minute of the match. If 傅辉鹰 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Eklund in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Marabou's goalkeeper Linus Fors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Marabou's Linus Fors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 傅辉鹰 in the 67th minute of play. Rickard Hedberg charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rickard Hedberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SPORTING booed when FC Marabou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Hedberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Marabou's Gunnar Hjortberg was substituted for Patrick Termander. Charles Burman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Vennerlund's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Alvar Eklund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Linus Fors made a huge save. After 84 played minutes SPORTING got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Bergdal. In the 85th minute of the match Henry Brolin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles Burman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Linus Fors made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jan-Ove Hellström sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Linus Fors successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gunnar Hjortberg charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gunnar Hjortberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SPORTING booed when FC Marabou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Hjortberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Vennerlund in the 92nd minute of play forced SPORTING's goalkeeper Charles Burman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, FC Marabou's Adrian Fernström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adrian Fernström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Marabou protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adrian Fernström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Marabou! In the 96th minute, the referee gave SPORTING a penalty. Jan-Ove Hellström looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Linus Fors. The FC Marabou fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SPORTING were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
