The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christer Göransson took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Söderström. Emanuel Söderström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Göransson in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Söderström saved Gualöv IF from getting behind. Tor Engman's late challenge caught a Gualöv IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tor Engman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gualöv IF booed when ♥Liverpool FC♥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor Engman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13th play minutes Uno Vall shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Rickard Alströmer and just under the crossbar into goal. Gualöv IF's Emanuel Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Göransson in the 20th minute of play. Emanuel Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Göransson in the 22nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Christer Göransson sped through Gualöv IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Söderström. The ♥Liverpool FC♥ fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when ♥Liverpool FC♥'s Christer Göransson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Uno Vall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Rickard Alströmer made a huge save. If Eric Ennegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Eric Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Alströmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ♥Liverpool FC♥'s Rickard Alströmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save ♥Liverpool FC♥ from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Gualöv IF's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Göransson came free, but Emanuel Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Vilhelm Frisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Göransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Söderström having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Ennegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Christer Göransson made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Gualöv IF's Emanuel Söderström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Christer Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Emanuel Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, 白俊兴 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rickard Alströmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Gualöv IF's goalkeeper Emanuel Söderström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Göransson. Kaj Smitt kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jörn Möllgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörn Möllgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Christer Göranssons short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Emanuel Söderström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörn Möllgren in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Söderström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Engman in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of ♥Liverpool FC♥ booed when Gualöv IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Ingemarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. ♥Liverpool FC♥'s Per Ekberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Christian Forssberg in the 94 minute of the game. ♥Liverpool FC♥ played a much better game than Gualöv IF and deserved their victory. The Gualöv IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
