Gideå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lunden BK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gideå's Emil Sandberg got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunden BK's goalkeeper Roger Odin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Åke Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ahlberg having to interfere. If Åke Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Abrahamsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gideå! The referee gave Lunden BK a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gunnar Bogren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gideå's Eric Ahlberg. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludwig Haeger to strike the kick off in the second half. If Åke Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Gideå's Emil Sandberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Lunden BK's goalkeeper Roger Odin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Staffan Fridlund. A very good chance. Eric Ahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Andreasson in the 89th minute of the match. Eric Ahlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Widberg's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Åke Andreasson struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Eric Ahlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunden BK. The Lunden BK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gideå to win.
