Jörgen Arhenius scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 方源常, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 方源常 came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimo's Jörgen Arhenius. But to his dismay, Jörgen Arhenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 17 minutes into the match, Rumphämnden IK's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Ahlbom came free, but 方源常 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Salvador Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Grep took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sune Klack. Sune Klack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jörgen Arhenius came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 方源常 could save by the left post. A collision led to Rumphämnden IK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Victoriano Txeru hit a great ball. Gimo's Sune Klack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Drewitz in the 33rd minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Rumphämnden IK's Giovani Reis tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Gimo's Agne Julin was substituted for Bengt-Åke Nyström. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olof Drewitz was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Jörgen Arhenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 方源常 was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 方源常 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rumphämnden IK defense, Agne Julin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 方源常. The Rumphämnden IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 方源常 should have stopped the shot. Gimo's Sune Klack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Gimo from getting a goal against them. Villiam Sandwall lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gimo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Sune Klack had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Giovani Reis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball After a long run with the ball, Giovani Reis did a trick in the 68th minute in front of Gimo's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 4-2. An impressive performance by Rumphämnden IK's Giovani Reis! 71 minutes into the game, Douglas Böcklund threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gimo's Roger Biörnberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 75 minutes into the game, Rumphämnden IK's Kjell Grep nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sune Klack made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. 82 minutes into the match, Gimo's goalkeeper Sune Klack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kjell Grep. After having played for 88 minutes, Jörgen Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörgen Arhenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agne Julin struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. 方源常 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. Jörgen Arhenius scored 5-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 方源常, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jörgen Arhenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. 方源常 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gimo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
