Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Överman in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tord Brolin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Hannes Axelsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tord Brolin. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gösta Björklund got free with Tord Brolin in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens-Erik Petersson scored 3-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tord Brolin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

After a defensive mix-up in Vollsjö's zone, Gösta Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tord Brolin came out of the goal and Gösta Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tord Brolin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Överman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
