Kim Arvidsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Eskil Tunander made a huge save. Conny Vik came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eskil Tunander could save by the left post. Kim Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Tunander having to interfere. Östen Böcklund who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Eskil Tunander when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Karl-Michael Skoglund in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by nyköpings's Anders Gallin. 26 minutes into the match, nyköpings's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Böcklund came free, but Eskil Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anders Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eskil Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Åkerman in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Östen Böcklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Axel Juhlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Goats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Juhlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eskil Tunander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eskil Tunander made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Conny Vik sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, nyköpings's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Åkerman came free, but Eskil Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Eskil Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eskil Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Vik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anders Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Östen Böcklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, nyköpings's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Böcklund came free, but Eskil Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Green Goats FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
