In the 6th match minute, FC Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Skarkman to maneuver through the defense. Florentino Artal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. If Peedu Lüdimõis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. FC Porto's Peedu Lüdimõis got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goalkeeper Torbjörn Hägglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florentino Artal. Florentino Artal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Torbjörn Hägglund came out and tried to block the shot, but Florentino Artal slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Torbjörn Hägglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Erland Vennerberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Krulltottarna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0.
