After 3 played minutes Kvibille got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Norberg. With his leg Kåre Sundström managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Kvibille's Bernt Norberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Bo-Erik Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syltans IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo-Erik Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kåre Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Malmström in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Kvibille getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Stig Blomqvist hit a great ball. After 22nd play minutes Kristoffer Ahlerot shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Bengt Sandberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Jan-Erik Malmström hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Syltans IF's Albano Faieta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bengt Sandberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Syltans IF reached it. Bengt Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Ahlerot, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Syltans IF's Bo-Erik Andreasson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt Sandberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Bo-Erik Andreasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt Sandberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Berglund in the 40th minute of play forced Syltans IF's goalkeeper Kåre Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Kvibille's Stig Blomqvist made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kåre Sundström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the game, Albano Faieta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Syltans IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kvibille the free kick. In the 48th minute, Albano Faieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Martin Berglund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kvibille's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Berglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kåre Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute Martin Berglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaf Modig hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The long shot by Kristoffer Stolpe in the 55th minute really tested Bengt Sandberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 56 played minutes Kvibille got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Malmström. Bengt Sandberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kristoffer Stolpe. In the 59th minute, Bo-Erik Andreasson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bengt Sandberg. The goal made the score 2-3. Kristoffer Ahlerot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Bo-Erik Andreasson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bengt Sandberg, 2-4. With a little luck, Kvibille's Bengt Sandberg got control of the ball when Kristoffer Ahlerot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kvibille's Bengt Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Andreasson in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Kvibille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Jan-Erik Malmström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Kvibille's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Andreasson came free, but Bengt Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Bo-Erik Andreasson notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Kvibille's Bengt Sandberg. Bengt Sandberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christoffer Grubb shot from long distance in the 95th minute, but Bengt Sandberg was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 97 played minutes Syltans IF got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Martinsson. The Syltans IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Syltans IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
