The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frans Simonsson helped the player get up and apologised. Erling Lägdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Matsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Ralf Nordin put in a rough tackle. 38 minutes into the match, Gurbashi Bashers's Adrian Lundgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulf Strömberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erling Lägdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Matsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the Gurbashi Bashers defense, Lennart Grubb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erling Lägdin. The Gurbashi Bashers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erling Lägdin should have stopped the shot. Gurbashi Bashers's Erling Lägdin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Grubb in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roger Mogren to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bertil Jonsson made a precise shot to the right of Erling Lägdin. Gurbashi Bashers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 54th match minute, Gurbashi Bashers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. During the 61st minute of the match Frans Simonsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Frans Simonsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hubert Bern got in the 67th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Erling Lägdin handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Lennart Grubb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gurbashi Bashers's zone, Hubert Bern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erling Lägdin came out of the goal and Hubert Bern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hubert Bern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Mogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulf Strömberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Mogren ran back to his position shaking his head. Lennart Grubb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Roger Mogren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lennart Grubb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Hubert Bern made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Gurbashi Bashers's Erling Lägdin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Svängsta IF's attack was well implemented in the 95th minute, but when Hubert Bern was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Svängsta IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
