Gösta Malmström succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Mellerud IF's zone, Grzegorz Kaszubowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Finman came out of the goal and Grzegorz Kaszubowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mellerud IF's Jimmie Finman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mellerud IF from getting a goal against them. Jimmie Finman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grzegorz Kaszubowski in the 19th minute. Grzegorz Kaszubowski in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimmie Finman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Henric Hedbom charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henric Hedbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Mellerud IF got a freekick which was hit by Henric Hedbom. Grzegorz Kaszubowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmie Finman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grzegorz Kaszubowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Jimmie Finman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grzegorz Kaszubowski in the 30th minute. Grzegorz Kaszubowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmie Finman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Påryd's zone, Wiktor Giliusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mik Brinksager came out of the goal and Wiktor Giliusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grzegorz Kaszubowski took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmie Finman. Jimmie Finman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Jimmie Finman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Kaszubowski in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grzegorz Kaszubowski in the 90th minute of play forced Mellerud IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Kaszubowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmie Finman having to make a save. Stellan Wennerquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Finman having to interfere. Påryd walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
