After a rather tough play, Åmål's Emanuel Walmarsson got a free kick in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Rottne IK's Kjell Damm got control of the ball when Henric Melander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rottne IK's Jonas Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
