But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelino Remir couldn't finish the play. Michael Drake might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kim Colin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Drake ran back to his position shaking his head. Gert Bålström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesper Nordlander in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Assyriska.FF USG's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Remir came free, but Gert Bålström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Remir who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Gert Bålström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melker Isaksson during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Assyriska.FF USG getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Melker Isaksson hit a great ball. Gottfrid Ekberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Bålström having to interfere. Gert Bålström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Rudolfo in the 27th minute of play forced Assyriska.FF USG's goalkeeper Gert Bålström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Bålström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Allbom in the 32nd minute of the match. Gert Bålström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from David Allbom. Assyriska.FF USG's Gert Bålström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Remir in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Anton Backman kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Inocencio Rudolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesper Nordlander in the 65th minute of play forced Assyriska.FF USG's goalkeeper Gert Bålström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommie Dijkstra kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Assyriska.FF USG booed when AS Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesper Nordlander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlie Viberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gert Bålström came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Roma's Angelino Remir. But to his dismay, Angelino Remir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Leonard Falk hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 84 played minutes, AS Roma's David Allbom shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gert Bålström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AS Roma reached it. A collision led to AS Roma getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. André Siggesson hit a great ball. Michael Drake was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Angelino Remir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Jesper Nordlander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gert Bålström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Angelino Remir took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gert Bålström. Gert Bålström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AS Roma had played much better football throughout.
