In the 46th minute Dalby were awarded a corner. Olle Vikström went to the cornerflag to take it. Emanuel Sundén made a great header on Dalby's corner, it was just that Edsbyn's Claes Smedfeldt managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrik Gråberg made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Stig-Ove Nykvist in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Edsbyn's Vilgot Engström. 59 minutes into the match, Fabian Malmström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claes Smedfeldt, 0-2. When Torbjörn Rudberg fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edsbyn's protests and gave Torbjörn Rudberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Edsbyn got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Rudberg. In the 94th minute of the match, Fabian Malmström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claes Smedfeldt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 96th minute Patrik Gråberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Ålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Dalby left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Edsbyn.
