Börje Molander charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börje Molander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Börje Molander hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Jack Söderqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bo Lundberg. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Blomqvist in the 14th minute of play forced Alby's goalkeeper John Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Patrik Blomqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. John Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jack Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alby's John Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Blomqvist in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Alby getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bernt Skarkman hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Alby's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Blomqvist came free, but John Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vällingby's Bo Lundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Söderqvist in the 37th minute of play. John Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Blomqvist in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jan-Ove Åkerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vällingby's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Ove Åkerberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Öberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alby's Alex Nordkvist was substituted for Per-Åke Öberg. Alby's Gottfrid Blomqvist was substituted for Bernt Skarkman. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Arotza to make the kick off. Bo Lundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magnus Dalberg's late challenge caught a Alby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magnus Dalberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vällingby's Magnus Dalberg got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Jon Karlstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 64 minutes, Jack Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Söderqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vällingby's Jan-Ove Åkerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Öberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Blomqvist in the 82nd minute. Patrik Blomqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of John Öberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jan-Ove Åkerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Öberg having to interfere. Patrik Blomqvist was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 99 minutes into the match, Vällingby's Jan-Ove Åkerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Öberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
