Sören Broman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Boberg having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Västra Frölunda IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Damsugarna:s goal. 16 minutes into the match, Faustin Guerreiro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Damsugarna's Timmy Malm. Timmy Malm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas Odén charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Odén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Damsugarna got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Odén. Wit Jurgiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Timmy Malm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Tord Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Tord Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Damsugarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Blomqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Västra Frölunda IF's Nils-Emil Thedin got a free kick in the 37th minute. Alex Sundberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Boberg. Västra Frölunda IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Daniel Odeen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Odeen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ivan Boberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Odeen came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Damsugarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Odeen couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tord Blomqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Daniel Odeen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Damsugarna's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Odeen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Boberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johnny Forsberg's late challenge caught a Damsugarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnny Forsberg helped the player get up and apologised. 53 minutes into the game, one of Västra Frölunda IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ivan Boberg made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sören Broman sent off a good shot on target. After 68 played minutes Damsugarna got a freekick which was hit by Alex Sundberg. Västra Frölunda IF's Ivan Boberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Västra Frölunda IF from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Västra Frölunda IF's Ivan Boberg got control of the ball when Sören Broman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Odeen hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Daniel Odeen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Västra Frölunda IF's Morgan Åhman got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Daniel Odeen came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Damsugarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Odeen couldn't finish the play. Aleksander Fagerberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Ivan Boberg 83 minutes into the match. Patrick Brogren struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ivan Boberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Damsugarna. Sören Broman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Boberg having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Damsugarna left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Västra Frölunda IF.
