Sven-Åke Ahlén took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Apelqvist. Helgum IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Simon Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Magne Björkdahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Apelqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Tomas Isaksson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serge Chabrier. Tomas Isaksson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Simon Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helgum IFK's attentive Sivert Beckeman managed to snatch the ball when Linus Lindholm made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Gällstad's Linus Lindholm quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sivert Beckeman, made in the 40th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the game, Simon Mårtensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Serge Chabrier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Isaksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Simon Mårtensson took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serge Chabrier. Serge Chabrier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Simon Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magne Björkdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Apelqvist having to interfere. The supporters of Helgum IFK booed when Gällstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Simon Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helgum IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Chabrier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 minutes, Tomas Isaksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helgum IFK and the Gällstad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Isaksson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Isaksson in the 82nd minute of play forced Gällstad's goalkeeper Serge Chabrier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Mårtensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gällstad's Linus Lindholm quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tomas Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gällstad's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
