The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rutger Vibjörnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 played minutes A.C Milan got a freekick which was hit by Xabi Alonso. Candido Locaio charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Locaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hornstull FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Candido Locaio hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes A.C Milan got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Löfgren. The audience was convinced that Candido Locaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Finnman was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, A.C Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Locaio came free, but Gunnar Finnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Finnman came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Hornstull FC's Candido Locaio. But to his dismay, Candido Locaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Olof Billvall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Candido Locaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Finnman was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the game, Hornstull FC's Candido Locaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Finnman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gunnar Finnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Locaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After the first half Hornstull FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Candido Locaio was the one to do the kick off. Gunnar Finnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Locaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in A.C Milan's zone, Belarmino Morado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Finnman came out of the goal and Belarmino Morado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rutger Vibjörnsson got free with Gunnar Finnman in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Finnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Wiman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Candido Locaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pranas Baubkus during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, A.C Milan's Pranas Baubkus got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Candido Locaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hornstull FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Locaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvald Löfgren took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Walczyk. Damian Walczyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Baubkus in the 69th minute of play forced Hornstull FC's goalkeeper Damian Walczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnar Finnman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, A.C Milan's Xabi Alonso got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Hornstull FC's Jerry Bruse was substituted for Rutger Vibjörnsson. A collision led to A.C Milan getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Xabi Alonso hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Hornstull FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Wiman to maneuver through the defense. Hornstull FC made a substitution. Tony Skog replaced Douglas Stenman. The supporters of A.C Milan booed when Hornstull FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Wiman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Hornstull FC's Candido Locaio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gunnar Finnman. Gunnar Finnman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. A.C Milan's Gunnar Finnman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Locaio in the 85th minute of play. Jerry Bruse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Finnman having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Candido Locaio took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Gunnar Finnman to make any attempt to save it. When Candido Locaio in the 92nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Gunnar Finnman kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The A.C Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hornstull FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
