When Aaron Kvarnström fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK DERBY's protests and gave Aaron Kvarnström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BK DERBY getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Aaron Kvarnström hit a great ball. Ingvar Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Edström in the 27th minute of the match. Per-Erik Edström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Freeslaktish FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Freeslaktish FC's Daniel Björklund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 34thth minute of the game Daniel Björklund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK DERBY's Kevin Vacker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute Daniel Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Vacker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Björklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Vacker having to make a save. Ingvar Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Adelsköld, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, one of Freeslaktish FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alf Pihlwall shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralf Adelsköld to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Fantozzi in the 53rd minute of play forced BK DERBY's goalkeeper Kevin Vacker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Vacker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viggo Ahlén in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Björklund in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Vacker saved BK DERBY from getting behind. Alf Pihlwall got in the 65th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Ingvar Olofsson. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-1. If Daniel Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Freeslaktish FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Olofsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute of the match, Ralf Adelsköld tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ingvar Olofsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Björklund struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Kevin Vacker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freeslaktish FC. If Daniel Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, BK DERBY's Inge Hult got a free kick in the 80th minute. Per-Erik Edström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Björklund in the 88th minute of play forced BK DERBY's goalkeeper Kevin Vacker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Daniel Björklund put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kevin Vacker. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Freeslaktish FC fully deserved thier win.
