With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barney Gannan in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joar Sillén saved Göteborg IF from getting behind. Munka-Ljungby BK's Ermanno Parente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Munka-Ljungby BK from getting a goal against them. Joar Sillén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barney Gannan's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barney Gannan made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Barney Gannan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joar Sillén.
