After 19 played minutes Rushden & Diamonds got a freekick which was hit by Knut Lindberg. Knut Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Melker Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rushden & Diamonds. Michael Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Melker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Tomasson in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Rushden & Diamonds got a freekick which was hit by Knut Lindberg. Michael Olsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Tobias Kullgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Erik Tönnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rushden & Diamonds's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Röane FC the free kick. Erik Tönnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Börge Klementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Röane FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börge Klementsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilgot Tomasson in the 63rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Rushden & Diamonds's Melker Lindgren threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Knut Lindberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Filip Backman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anders Almkvist went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Anders Almkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Almkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Röane FC got a freekick which was hit by Anders Almkvist. After 76 played minutes Rushden & Diamonds got a freekick which was hit by Knut Lindberg. Melker Lindgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Knut Lindberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 84 minute of play. Börge Klementsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Röane FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Harald Eliasson hit a great ball. Knut Lindberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Melker Lindgren right hand side. The Röane FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
