An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Lundström in the 25th minute of play forced Västra Frölunda's goalkeeper Per-Arne Valström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Enviken BK fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Enviken BK's Tobias Lundström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anacleto Presebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Ahlstedt in the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Ahlstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Presebal was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Gunnar Ahlstedt took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Anacleto Presebal to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Ahlstedt was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Enviken BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Ahlstedt came free, but Anacleto Presebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olof Qvarnström's late challenge caught a Enviken BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Qvarnström helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Västra Frölunda got a freekick which was hit by Olof Qvarnström. Enviken BK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
