Ted Lenberg scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Axelsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Alexander Sundén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Räfvåla FF booed when Steif Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Sundén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Joacim Klintæus made a huge save. Tony Hamnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dag Bruhn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steif Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Bruhn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joacim Klintæus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olof Lilja kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Räfvåla FF's zone, Tony Hamnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Klintæus came out of the goal and Tony Hamnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 minutes, Anthon Svanström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Räfvåla FF and the Steif Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Räfvåla FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthon Svanström to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 45 in the game by Tony Hamnberg from a close distance when the talented Joacim Klintæus managed to make a qualified save. Räfvåla FF's players were relieved. Alexander Sundén blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joacim Klintæus having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony Hamnberg to make the kick off. If Marcus Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joacim Klintæus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Hamnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 63rd minute, Dag Bruhn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Hamnberg in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joacim Klintæus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Tony Hamnberg notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Räfvåla FF's Joacim Klintæus. Joacim Klintæus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Olof Lilja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Tony Hamnberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steif Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 91st match minute, Räfvåla FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Lenberg to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Steif Football Club's Tony Hamnberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joacim Klintæus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Steif Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
