Spectators: 7056 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 5) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mats Lundberg kicked off to start the match. Martin Jernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixten Käller in the 7th minute of the match. Värsås IK were furious when Petter Mogren was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Emil Billström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Julin in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Paul Nässén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Västberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Malmö FF's Klas Lundgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Jernberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Birger Runeberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarl Västberg was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Birger Runeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jarl Västberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Värsås IK's goalkeeper Martin Jernberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sixten Käller. 31 minutes into the match, Sixten Käller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Jernberg. Värsås IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixten Käller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Martin Jernberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Lundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Birger Runeberg put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jarl Västberg. Stig-Åke Liljeström hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Anton Lange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sixten Käller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Martin Jernberg made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Birger Runeberg was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Bejgier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Värsås IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmö FF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Värsås IK's Boleslaw Bejgier got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Mats Julin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Värsås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Käller came free, but Martin Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Klas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarl Västberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Runeberg in the 58th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Mats Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Värsås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Käller came free, but Martin Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Klas Lundgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Jernberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Lundberg in the 72nd minute of play forced Värsås IK's goalkeeper Martin Jernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malmö FF's Jarl Västberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Malmö FF from getting a goal against them. Martin Jernberg came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmö FF's Sixten Käller. But to his dismay, Sixten Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 78th minute Sixten Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Jernberg came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmö FF's Sixten Käller. But to his dismay, Sixten Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. A collision led to Malmö FF getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Sixten Käller hit a great ball. Birger Runeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jarl Västberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Ove Fridlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarl Västberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Ove Fridlund ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarl Västberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Runeberg in the 95th minute of the match. Värsås IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anton Lange in the 97th minute. The corner led Värsås IK's Anton Lange to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarl Västberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Malmö FF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Värsås IK for a fine match.
