Spectators: 7078 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Per Göransson started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Malmö FF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Mats Julin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Lundberg in the 7th minute of play forced Frändefors's goalkeeper Marcus Beneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Frändefors got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Albom. Malmö FF's Emil Billström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcus Beneth but with some difficulty. Mats Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jarl Västberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Per Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Frändefors got a freekick which was hit by Elof Engman. In the 19th minute, Malmö FF's Mats Lundberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcus Beneth. Marcus Beneth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Mats Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mats Lundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Beneth was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Sixten Käller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Örjan Ödman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarl Västberg having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Per Göransson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Malmö FF's Jarl Västberg. Jarl Västberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Frändefors booed when Malmö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klas Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joachim Qvarnström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Örjan Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frändefors's supporters rose to their feet, but Örjan Ödman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarl Västberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mats Lundberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Frändefors's Örjan Ödman got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarl Västberg made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Örjan Ödman sent off a good shot on target. When Örjan Ödman came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Frändefors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Örjan Ödman couldn't finish the play. Frändefors's Marcus Beneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Lundberg in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixten Käller in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Beneth saved Frändefors from getting behind. Örjan Ödman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jarl Västberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Marcus Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Lundberg in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute Elof Engman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Västberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Per Göransson came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Frändefors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Göransson couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Ödman got free with Jarl Västberg in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stig-Åke Liljeström's late challenge caught a Frändefors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Åke Liljeström helped the player get up and apologised. 89 minutes into the game, one of Malmö FF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Frändefors a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joachim Qvarnström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Malmö FF's Jarl Västberg. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Frändefors's Ivar Palm got a free kick in the 95th minute. Mats Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marcus Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frändefors's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
